PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Hands-On From the Start
The Rockwell Lineman Training Program is designed as a beginning-level program for students preparing to enter the powerline industry.
Training progresses from safety and foundational climbing skills into rigging, electrical fundamentals, distribution construction, and transmission construction.
Students receive training in:
→ OSHA 10 and mandatory onboarding
→ Climbing competencies
→ Basic knowledge of rigging
→ Equipotential zone safety
→ Electrical distribution construction
→ Electrical transmission construction
→ CPR, First Aid, and AED

Electrical power-line installers and repairers play an important role in building, maintaining, and restoring the infrastructure communities rely on every day.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment for electrical power-line installers and repairers to grow 7% from 2024 to 2034, faster than the average for all occupations.
As communities grow, infrastructure expands, and the demand for reliable electrical power continues, trained workers will remain an important part of the industry.
Employment is not guaranteed upon completion of the Rockwell Lineman Training Program.
ADMISSIONS
Think Lineman Training Is Right for You?
Rockwell's program is built for students who are ready for demanding, hands-on training and understand the responsibility that comes with working in the powerline industry.
Applicants must meet Rockwell's admission requirements, including being at least 18 years old, possessing a high school diploma or GED, holding a valid driver's license, and being physically and mentally capable of performing the work required during training.
