If you're ready to train for the powerline industry, start by reviewing Rockwell's admission requirements and application process.

Before You Apply

Applicants must meet Rockwell's admission requirements on or before the enrollment deadline for their program. Applicants must:

→ Be at least 18 years old

→ Possess a high school diploma or GED

→ Possess a valid driver's license

→ Be able to lift 75 pounds

→ Be physically and mentally capable of operating equipment and vehicles used in linework

→ Weigh less than 315 pounds due to equipment restrictions

→ Have health insurance in accordance with Rockwell requirements

→ Disclose prescription medications for approval

→ Be able to perform the necessary duties of a lineman, including climbing, carrying, pulling, and standing for long periods

→ Be able to safely work outdoors in various weather conditions

How to Apply

Step 1 — Review the Program

Review the program information, requirements, costs, and current course catalog before applying.
Step 2 — Submit Your Application

Complete and submit the Rockwell admissions application and pay the $150 application fee.
Step 3 — Admissions Meeting

Once your application is received, Rockwell will review it and contact you to schedule a meeting.
The meeting will cover program expectations and requirements and may be conducted by Zoom or in person.
Step 4 — Admissions Decision

After the meeting, applicants will either be accepted or declined for enrollment.
Step 5 — Complete Enrollment

Accepted applicants will receive access to the student portal and instructions for completing the remaining enrollment requirements.

Accepted students are required to submit the applicable enrollment documents, which include:

→ Student Enrollment Agreement

→ Medical Release Form

→ Drug Screen Release Form

→ Agreement of Binding Arbitration Form

→ Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement Form

→ Copy of driver's license

→ Copy of high school diploma or GED equivalent

→ Proof of medical insurance

→ Additional required enrollment documentation

All required documentation and payments must be completed by the applicable enrollment deadline.
