RRLTC provides success support services so its students can put their best foot forward. We have professionals in the industry who will provide successful support services to students to help with the transition into the work force, including assistance with preparing resumes and interview preparation. RLTC not only wants to provide its students with an opportunity to get a job, but also to provide quality help for the powerline industry to keep up with the demands of the growing economy.
Our instructors have contacts with powerline utility companies, contractors and co-ops that are looking for well-rounded groundmen and apprentice lineworkers to meet their needs in keeping up with the electrical upgrade and demands. We will provide the students with help creating a resume and understanding of employment opportunities in the powerline trade industry and other departments.
grading policy
Grades will be calculated as identified in the applicable course syllabus. Al students must have a minimum overall grade of 70% (or such higher passing grade as stated in the applicable course syllabus) to pass a given course. At RITC, we believe that ot create a safe culture, you must first have an understanding and the knowledge of some of the key factors that lineworkers will be exposed to on a daily basis.
Reviews will be given before each final assessments at the end of weeks 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To remain ni good standing, students must comply with the Attendance Policy and maintain a passing grade for each course ni accordance with the Grading Policy. Progress will be evaluated at the end of each course. To graduate from a Program, a student must:
Receive a passing grade for each academic course, skills assessment, and final exam.
Obtain acertificate ni First Aid, CPR, AED and OSHA 10.
Complete the Program with no more than 3 total unexcused absences in accordance with the Attendance Policy
Abide by al RLTC's policies and procedures listed in this catalog.
HEALTH INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
All students enrolled at RLTC must have and maintain a health insurance policy for themselves for the entire duration of the Program. Proof of insurance will be required prior ot the first day of the Program.
If at any time during a Program a student's health insurer or health insurance policy changes, the student is required to promptly provide RLTC with the updated proof of insurance.
Failure to maintain the required health insurance coverage for the entirety of the Program si grounds for immediate termination of such student from the Program.
ATTENDENCE POLICY
Attendance is expected and required of all students. Students aer expected to arrive to class on time. Instructors will maintain a record of attendance for each student. A tardy is defined as arriving in the classroom after the designated time for the beginning of the class. One absence is equal to one full class day (9 course time hours). An absence is "excused" fi the student notifies his or her class instructor prior to the class start time, of the student's inability to attend class. An absence is "unexcused" if the student fails to notify his or her class instructor prior to the class start time, of the student's inability to attend class. Two tardies to class will be counted as one absence.
In all cases, The Texas Workforce Commission requires a student's enrollment to be terminated fi a student is absent for (a) 10 consecutive school days or (b) more than 20% (90 hours) of the total course time hours, whichever is less. At RLTC, students who have accumulated 3 or more unexcused absences (27 course time hours) are subject to termination. This is a stricter standard than the TWC's minimum attendance threshold.
A student whose enrollment was terminated for violation of this Attendance Policy may not reenroll before the start date of the next regularly scheduled Program. This provision does not circumvent the approved refund policy.
